March 7th, 2010 Fornication And Adultery—What’s The Big Deal Anyway? Is Sex Wrong?
Marriage is sacred and it was hallowed by Jehovah God Himself. It is through this arrangement that husband and wife share with one another; support one another, and rear their offspring together in a loving and caring environment. It was meant to be a life long union that could only be broken by death of one of the spouses.
Marriage was created by God to bring the man and the woman together in a way that would compliment each other. In other words, males and females were made differently but their differences would actually make them stronger and enable them to accomplish more if they were united as one in “Holy matrimony”. The differences should be celebrated as oppose to being a reason for discord, dissent, and petty bickering.
Jesus said, “Haven’t you read that at the beginning the creator made them male and female, and said, ‘for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate”(Matthew 19:4-6).
It is God’s will that marriages last a lifetime without the possibility of separation and that children be raised in a loving union with both father and mother. Read “Is Sex Wrong”?
