Finding Strength In Jehovah God Through His Son Jesus Christ

Morning star, Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, Bapthomet, Mo lech, Marduk, Rain Man, Ella, and Sin are just a few of the names that Satan goes by or have gone by. The list is almost endless, easily reaching over several million that are known and recognized. He is the master at changing his identity; always evolving and ever changing to acquire new followers as time passes on. But make no mistake about it, every false god or goddess that is or have ever been worshiped around the world at some point or another leads back to one source: Satan the devil.

When the Israelites were led out of Egypt where they had been in bondaged for four hundred years, they were to settle in a new land–the land of Canaan. Moses was their leader and he was under the direction and guidance of the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob; patriarchs of the Israelites. Because of Abraham’s love and devotion to his God (Yahweh, transliterated Jehovah) Yahweh promised to bless his descendants and be their God as well as he had been Abraham’s God (Genesis 15:1-21;17:1-27).

“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 18:9-13).

The Israelites were to become a “Nation of Priests” and teach all the people of the world about their God and His statues, commandments, precepts and how to worship Yahweh (Jehovah) in an acceptable way that would be pleasing to Him (Exodus 19:3-6). They were not to practice any of the despicable ways of the nations Yahweh was going to drive out of the land (Canaan) He was preparing to give to the Israelites. They were to be a “Holy Nation” and steadfastly remain pure and free of the detestable practices of the people who He was about to dispossess in the land (Canaan) He was giving to the Israelites (Deuteronomy 7:1-16).
