Morning star, Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, Bapthomet, Mo lech, Marduk, Rain Man, Ella, and Sin are just a few of the names that Satan goes by or have gone by. The list is almost endless, easily reaching over several million that are known and recognized. He is the master at changing his identity; always evolving and ever changing to acquire new followers as time passes on. But make no mistake about it, every false god or goddess that is or have ever been worshiped around the world at some point or another leads back to one source: Satan the devil.

When the Israelites were led out of Egypt where they had been in bondaged for four hundred years, they were to settle in a new land–the land of Canaan. Moses was their leader and he was under the direction and guidance of the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob; patriarchs of the Israelites. Because of Abraham’s love and devotion to his God (Yahweh, transliterated Jehovah) Yahweh promised to bless his descendants and be their God as well as he had been Abraham’s God (Genesis 15:1-21;17:1-27).

“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 18:9-13).

The Israelites were to become a “Nation of Priests” and teach all the people of the world about their God and His statues, commandments, precepts and how to worship Yahweh (Jehovah) in an acceptable way that would be pleasing to Him (Exodus 19:3-6). They were not to practice any of the despicable ways of the nations Yahweh was going to drive out of the land (Canaan) He was preparing to give to the Israelites. They were to be a “Holy Nation” and steadfastly remain pure and free of the detestable practices of the people who He was about to dispossess in the land (Canaan) He was giving to the Israelites (Deuteronomy 7:1-16).

As Darkness Continues To Descend Over The Face Of The Earth–But Why?

Why is this? How can it be that with all the cultural and language barriers that exist from one continent to another; one country to another; one city to another; one town to another; one neighborhood to another, that one thing they all have in common is the exaltation and the glorification of gross wickedness, sexual immorality and the rejection and denunciation of the “Most High God–JEHOVAH”, and the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

“You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I (JEHOVAH) ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones.

You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings (Ezekiel 28:12-17).

How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God: I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High’. But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit” (Isaiah 14:12-15).

Lucifer, Morning Star, once was a high ranking cherub that stood in the presence of the Most High God–JEHOVAH, he was considered to be the most beautiful of all angelic creatures until iniquity was found in him as stated above. After his rebellion and subsequently his fall from grace and his exiled and banishment from heaven to earth, Lucifer whose name was later changed to Satan (slanderer, accuser) has waged an all out war against JEHOVAH GOD, Jesus Christ, and the saints that follow and worship JEHOVAH (Revelations 12:17). A Tree and Its Fruit: Watching The Things We Do As Christians

When you think of false prophets you might not think of yourself, but after receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and confessing Him publicly only to turn around and follow Satan (devil); you do no less. False prophets claim to belong to Jesus Christ and they continually confess Him as their Lord and Saviour vigorously.

However, their actions prove false to the claims they make. Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). Arrogance, haughtiness, pride, and insolence are just a few of the characteristics of a false prophet. Jesus went on to say, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God,” (Matthew 5:9).

As Christians we cannot rage and rant at others and expect not to bring reproach on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Christians are earthly representatives of Christ and when we give in to the desires of the flesh we bring reproach on Jehovah God our creator and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who died on the cross for the remissions of our sins (Romans 5: 8-11).

Apostle Paul stated, “In your anger do not sin”; Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:26). In order for us to be pleasing to Jehovah God and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we must become ‘peacemakers’. We cannot afford to allow our anger to run wild (Proverbs 29:11), “for a man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires according to James, the author of the book of James in the “Holy Bible” (James 1:20). When a child is conceived no one understands how he/she is formed in the womb. No one. There are very intelligent men who have sought to find out how a baby is formed in the womb and no one fully understands to this day. No one has been able to explain what all take place in the development of a fetus. It is simply amazing and truly unknowable how we are created, but it is no mystery about who created us.

“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over earth, and over all the creatures that move along the grounds’ ” (Genesis 1:26). If you believe in the “Holy Scriptures” then it is no doubt in your mind that God created man in his own image and likeness.

Witchcraft: An Ancient Abomination That Has Been Given An Attractive Facelift In Modern Times

Who could ever forget the fun and enchanting television series “Bewitched” that ran from 1964-1972? What about all those much loved characters like Darrin Stephens (Dick York), Larry Tate (David/Daniel White), Aunt Clara (Marion Lorne), Endora (Agnes Moorehead), Mrs.Kravitts (Alice Pearce) and her husband Abner (George Tobias), and of course the beautiful and delectable Samantha Stephens (Elizabeth Montgomery), the star of the show. Even today the show still has a cult like following around the world. Although it is now in syndication the show continues to pick up new generation followers with the passing of time.

I remember watching and waiting intently to see Samantha twitch her nose and produce some more astounding feats. Before “Bewitched”, I often thought of witches as ugly and gruesome, not beautiful and alluring—except for the good witch of the west—Glenda, who was in one of the most cherished and adored movies of all time, “The Wizard (witchcraft/sorcerer) Of Oz”. Other than those two I always visualized witches as being old and ugly with the ability to do you much harm; they frightened me and were the source of many nightmares in my childhood.

But what does the word of Jehovah God say about witchcraft and those who practice it? How does God Almighty view witches and witchcraft and what instructions, if any, does He give his people concerning this matter? Is it something that Jehovah God approves and should we all be witches and practice witchcraft if He does?

Marriage is sacred and it was hallowed by Jehovah God Himself. It is through this arrangement that husband and wife share with one another; support one another, and rear their offspring together in a loving and caring environment. It was meant to be a life long union that could only be broken by death of one of the spouses.

Marriage was created by God to bring the man and the woman together in a way that would compliment each other. In other words, males and females were made differently but their differences would actually make them stronger and enable them to accomplish more if they were united as one in “Holy matrimony”. The differences should be celebrated as oppose to being a reason for discord, dissent, and petty bickering.

Jesus said, “Haven’t you read that at the beginning the creator made them male and female, and said, ‘for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate”(Matthew 19:4-6).

It is God’s will that marriages last a life time without the possibility of separation and that children be raised in a loving union with both father and mother. Read “Is Sex Wrong”?

The Battlefield: Take Your Stance and Stand Firm—In Jesus Name

We are on a battlefield, the entire earth is a battlefield where we as disciples of Christ are locked in a life and death battle that extends far beyond a mere physical death. We are in a battle that will determine where we stand as soldiers and where we will spend eternity. Make no mistake about it Satan has unleashed an all out attack against mankind but especially against those who choose to follow Jesus Christ and walk according to Jehovah’s (Yahweh/YHWH)) commandments.

We cannot afford to let our guard down for one moment because Satan is looking for an opportunity to slay us both spiritually and physically…and he will never, ever give up on that mission. His goal is to take us down physically and spiritually and silence us once and for all, and to lead us down the road of eternal damnation where we will be forever shut out from the love of Jehovah God and His Son Jesus Christ.

To avoid such a terrible and frightening outcome you must repent of your sins and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour today. Jesus is still calling out to the world to save them from their sins. Jesus died on the cross for the remission of our sins—not His. He gave His life up to save mankind from eternal damnation and everlasting destruction by atoning for our sins when He suffered the agonizing death on the cross…and through His stripes (beating) we are healed. At some point in time (the bible does not say), one of the holy angels that Jehovah had created began to rebel against Jehovah’s authority. He sought the kind of worship that belong to Jehovah and Jehovah alone. Remember, all the angels were created autonomously so they had the capacity to rebel against Jehovah anytime they chose to…and many (beyond count) chose to rebel against Jehovah and follow Lucifer.

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High’. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” (Isaiah 14:12-15).

Lucifer, willingly chose to follow a rebellious course that would eventually lead to his being cast out from the presence of Jehovah. His heart (metaphorically speaking) was set on being worshiped as a God and his master plan was to usurp true worship from Jehovah and have all the angels to stand in his presence and worship him only.

“Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God: every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: that wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee, before kings, that they may behold thee” (Ezekiel 28:13-17). Satan The Devil: Who Is He, Where Did He Come From? Is He Real Or Myth?

People ask why do people kill and murder each other. Why is there so much suffering in the world today? And who’s responsible for all the earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, massive flooding, and diseases that has devastated mankind throughout the millenniums? Is there a God and if so, does he care?

Why are there wars and fighting among the people of the world? Why is there starvation and hunger in the world we live in? Why do people hate one another, and who’s the blame? Is there a cure for all these ills that plague mankind? Will we ever be free of all this? The answer is unequivocally “Yes”. There is a day coming when there will be no more sadness (Isaiah 25:8).
