February 23rd, 2012 Everlasting Love: The Kind of Love That Can Only Come From Above
Sacrificial killings, beheadings, human destruction of every kind, wars, pandemics, deadly diseases, sicknesses, starvation, droughts, unrelievable suffering, and living conditions unfit for dogs are just a small snapshot of the ills that plague the world we live in today.
From one end of the globe to the other human suffering continues to escalate with each passing day. Although there are many who live an affluent lifestyle there are at least a hundred times more who live a pitiful existence. With each and every day comes more news around the world of catastrophes and the outbreak of wars that seem to be never ending.
And if all that is not enough, there is the ever present threat of nuclear annihilation that becomes even more apparent as more and more countries acquire nuclear weapons. Compound all of this with the deterioration of the earth and it’s not so hard to understand why many people believe that the end of the world is near at hand.
It’s no wonder so many people are filled with hopelessness and depression. It’s no wonder so many people are filled with anger and even blame God for all the terrible things that are happening in the world today. They often feel that God is responsible for the shape the world is in, while others believe there is no God at all. But what does the “Holy Word” of God tells us about it all and what’s in store for mankind in particular and the world in general.
Who is really responsible for all the destruction and mayhem in the world? Does God care? Why has the world become so polluted and practically unfit for human habitation in many places? Will all the murdering and killing ever stop? Even the earth’s water supply is quickly becoming unfit for human consumption and acid rain continues to fall from the sky. What’s the solution to all these problems and is there any real relief in store? Can we survive all this? How?
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said ‘Let there be light’, and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light ‘day’, and the darkness He called ‘night’. And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day” (Genesis 1:1-5).
“And God said, ‘Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water’. So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse ’sky’. And there was evening, and there was morning-the second day” (Genesis 1:6-8).
“And God said, ‘Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear. And it was so. God called the dry ground ‘land, and the gathered waters he called ’seas’. And God saw that it was good” (Genesis 1:9,10).
“Then God said, ‘Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds’. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the third day” (Genesis 1:11-13).
“And God said, ‘Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on earth’. And it was so. God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And there was evening, there was morning-the fourth day” (Genesis1:14-19).
“And God said, ‘Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky’. So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kind. And God saw them and said, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on earth’. And there was evening and morning-the fifth day” (Genesis1: 20-23).
“And God said”, ‘Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind’. “And it was so. God made the wild animals, according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good” (Genesis1:24,25).
“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground’. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created them” (Genesis 1:26-27).
It is no secret that God, creator of heaven and earth and all that exist, wanted the earth to be a wonderful place for both mankind and the animals as well. From the beginning His love for us showed forth in all His creation. How can one not marvel at some of the breathtaking scenery that still remain to this day (Psalms 103:17,18). Although man has done a terrible job maintaining and preserving what God has so lovingly given us; yet, the beauty of the earth can still be seen in certain places, and at certain times and seasons.
Beautiful and colorful flowers that captivate the heart; stunning sunsets that leave you gasping for breath, and lovely landscapes that touch the heart. Yes, even though man has proven to be an ungrateful steward over all that God has placed in his care; nevertheless, the beauty of the earth can still be seen in many places around the world.
And who cannot marvel at a dazzling starry night that light up the heavens, or a warm sunny spring day? Can you imagine what it would have been like if we had been really good caretakers of what God had so lovingly given us? Can you imagine what it would have been like if sin had not entered the world through Adam and Eve rebellious act against God?
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, ‘Did God really say’, ‘ ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’ ‘? The woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die’ ” (Genesis 3:1-3).
” ‘You will not surely die’ , the serpent said to the woman. ‘For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil’ ” (Genesis 3:4,5).
“When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves” (Genesis 3:6,7).
Sin. Sin is the violation of the word and will of Almighty Jehovah (Yahweh) God. Although mankind was created in the image and likeness of God the Father, we were also given the ability to choose to honor and worship God or not. We were created free moral agents with the freedom to do what we want to do; however, our creator so lovingly instructed us on what to do so as to avoid disastrous consequences but we were given the right to choose ourselves-that still is the case today.
We are not created automatons that are nothing more than fleshy robots that are under remote control; instead, we were created autonomously to choose to do what we want to do. If we choose to reject Jehovah God Almighty and His Son Jesus Christ, we have that option as well. God wants us to love and obey Him because we choose to, not because we are forced to. God is love, and His love for Adam and Eve and all of their offspring is never ending; although it is true that the “wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as He was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you’? I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid’ ” (Genesis 3:8-10).
“And he (God) said, ‘Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from’? Then the man said, ‘The woman you put here with me-she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it’ ” (Genesis 3:11,12).
“Then the Lord God said to the woman, ‘What is this you have done’? The woman said, ‘The serpent deceived me, and I ate.’ So the Lord God said to the serpent, ‘Because you have done this, cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel’ Genesis 3:12-15).
“To the woman he said, ‘I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you’ ” (Genesis 3:16).
“To Adam he said, ‘Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, You must not eat of it. Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field’ ” (Genesis 3:17,18).
God continued to pronounce judgment on Adam, ” By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return” (Genesis 3:19).
Death is the manifestation of sin-spiritual death and physical death. It is true that God is love; however, God is a righteous and a “Holy God” that hates sin. One of God’s attributes is justice, and justice requires a proper response to all actions whether they be good or bad, and most of all God is not a liar. God clearly stated to Adam not to eat or touch the tree that He instructed him not to touch or eat of its fruit. For God not to follow up with death for the deliberate disobedient act by Adam and Eve would surely make God a liar-just like Satan the devil (John 8:44).
However, Satan, whose total existence is to disrupt and destroy Jehovah God’s plan for the world and God’s crown of creation “mankind”; temporary victory (for Satan) was hollow because God Almighty made provisions for the restoration and redemption of mankind immediately after Adam and Eve sinned against God (Genesis 3:15).
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ, the Son of God took on the form of a man and became the “Sacrificial Lamb” whose blood would cleanse all mankind of their sins. Hallelujah! Praise God! Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the whole world (Luke 2:11).
Through Adam, death was pronounced on mankind because of his sins, but through Jesus Christ came salvation and deliverance. Through Jesus Christ came the prospect of eternal life-with the Father. Jesus Christ is the author of our salvation, has redeemed us through His death on the cross; we can be washed and cleansed in His precious blood. It is the blood of Jesus that washes our sins away. His blood is the only blood that removes sin and gives a person a fresh new start in life (the forgiveness of sins), and Jesus died on the cross for us because He loves us. Jesus is love. There is no other name under heaven by which men can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Jesus Christ is the way, truth, and the life that leads to eternal salvation (John 14:6). Jesus Christ died for a sinful world; yet, he knew no sin. Jesus lived a clean holy life without blemish and that is why He was able to become the unblemished “Sacrificial Lamb” for the whole world.
Crucified on the cross for our sins, but raised to life on the third day by the power of the “Holy Spirit” and is now at the right hand throne of God the Father interceding on our behalf describes our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Our eternal high priest that can never die again, but is coming back to receive His own and to war against His enemies with the words of His mouth (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep” (John 10:11-13).
Jesus continues, ” I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me-just as the Father knows me and I know the Father-and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:14-16).
Jesus concludes His discourse to the Jews, “The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life-only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father” (John 10:17,18).
In conclusion, allow me to once again reiterate the most important point of this sermon/lesson, and that is that Jesus Christ loved mankind so much that He laid down His life for us all. He willingly accepted the agonizing death on the cross to become a human sacrifice for the whole world.
“My command is this: Love each other as I have you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you” (John 15:14).
Jesus’ love for all of mankind is unwavering and without parallel. Since the creation of mankind Jesus love for us has only increased-if that’s possible. It is Jehovah God’s will and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ sincere hope for all of mankind to be saved. That is why Jehovah God so lovingly sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for us. God is love. Jesus is love. Love comes down from God the Father and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to the whole world, and this love is eternal and everlasting (Isaiah 9:6).
Please pray with me: Holy Father, Almighty Jehovah God, in the name of our precious Saviour Jesus Christ, we bow down praising your holy name and giving thanks for all your wonderful, wonderful, wonderful blessings today. Amen. Now be baptize in receive the “Holy Spirit” that God so lovingly gives to all His servants. Amen.
And If you have already received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour but turned back to follow Satan, please reconsider, and turn back to following Jesus. Jesus is love. God is love (1John 4:8). Forgiveness for you is just a heartfelt prayer away, and God is quick to forgive and His mercy knows no bounds (Exodus 34:6).
Please pray with me: Holy Father, in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, I bow down and ask for forgiveness for all the sins and transgressions I knowingly and willingly committed after receiving Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
Have mercy upon my soul Father, and wash me again in the precious blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Do not take your Holy Spirit from me and create in me a clean heart to serve you from this day forward and forever more. I truly repent of all my sins, and I humbly ask for your mercy upon me, O Lord. Thank you Father. Thank you Jesus. Amen. Welcome back. Hallelujah!
If you have never received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour please accept this invitation to do so today-right now. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is waiting patiently for all to come to Him and turn away form darkness. Jesus is love. Jehovah God is love, and love never fails. Please pray with me, Holy Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I repent of all sins and transgressions that I have ever committed in my life. Have mercy on my soul and wash me in the precious blood of the “Lamb- Jesus Christ, and give me your “Holy Spirit” to guide me and lead me into a better understanding of your word and will. Amen.
The “Holy Bible” reassures us that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jehovah God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead will be saved” (Romans 10:9). Hallelujah! Glory be to God. Give God the Praise.
Now go forth as a new person in Jesus Christ. Pray always, using your own words. Pray without ceasing. Study the bible (preferably the original King James version). And remember to pray that God’s will be done in your life.
May Jehovah God Almighty and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be with you until we meet again. Amen and amen.

Note: Please understand that over time new revelations are given to me to pass on to all that take the time to read the articles/sermons that I post. Therefore, I believe it is imperative that I share these revelations to all who will listen.
In this article/sermon as with all my articles/sermons I use the name Jehovah when referring to the one true God, and I use the name Jesus Christ when referring to the Son of God. However, I want to set the record straight now, and correct this error.
The true historic name of the Father is “Yahawah” spoken in the ancient Hebrew tongue; Jehovah is a translation of that name. Jesus Christ is a modern day misinterpretation of the messiah “Yahawashi”. It is important that we learn to call upon the true name of the Father and the Son. Thank you.
