Before sin entered into the world there was only peace, prosperity, happiness, blessedness, love, goodwill, and a close personal relationship between God the Father and Adam and Eve; however, after choosing to rebel against God by following the advice of Satan, Adam and Eve’s submission to sin has brought about horrific consequences for the whole world even to this very day! But Jehovah’s love for mankind did not end there with the rebellious couple sinning against Him; instead, God immediately made plans for salvation and redemption for fallen mankind (Genesis 3:15).

We as a people; Jehovah’s God people, must always remember who we are and who we belong to. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth should receive eternal life” John 3:16.

When we sin against Jehovah God we have an eternal saviour in Jesus Christ that intercedes on our behalf when we sincerely repent of our wrong doing. It is the precious blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) that washes our sins away–each and every one of them!

Time and time again many of us have lashed out at God because of circumstances we often find ourselves in. As long as we are experiencing prosperity and enjoying safe refuge we are at peace with the world around us including God, but as soon as disaster comes knocking at our door we are so quick to curse God and denounce all that He is and has ever been. The key to serving Jehovah God is obedience to His word and His will and having faith in God. We cannot serve God acceptably if we really do not believe in Him, and we cannot believe in Him if we don’t know Him. The holy scriptures tells us that faith cometh from hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17). Jesus said, ” “Have faith in God”, and he went on to answer a question that was addressed to Him, “I tell you the truth, if anyone says this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea’,and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him,so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins” (Mark 11:22-26).

Jesus Christ is the way that leads to true worship of our heavenly Father Jehovah God (John 14:6). Following the example that Jesus Christ set for the whole world is the only way to receiving salvation. Following Satan the devil leads to everlasting destruction and total rejection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and Jehovah God. Satan and his whole kingdom perpetuates false worship every minute of the day in an all effort to keep people chained in spiritual darkness for ever., but it is through Jesus Christ that all demonic strongholds have been broken and redemption and salvation for all is made available if we so desire. The Holy Spirit has many attributes and qualities that has proven to be conflicting for some. For instance, it has power that in many cases has imbued some of God’s servants in both the old and new testament to accomplish feats that would have been impossible for humans to duplicate (Exodus 31:1-11; Matthew 1:18). Before the death and resurrection of Jesus the Holy Spirit would come upon God’s servants and enable them with the power to accomplish a task, but after Jesus’ death and resurrection and ascension back into heaven (from whence he came) the Holy Spirit would make His dwelling within the servants of Jehovah (Yahweh) God (John 14:25; 16:5-16).

As Christians and disciples of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we have been blessed with the added assurance of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us as well as guiding us and instructing us what to do and say; when to do; how to do, and where to do what God Almighty has given us to do (Acts4:8; 8:26; 13:1-11).

The Holy Spirit is the free gift (Acts 8:9-24) that Jehovah God gives to His servants, and only His servants (not the world) who are devoted disciples of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today, the Holy Spirit which is known by several names: Spirit of Christ; the Comforter; God’s Spirit; Spirit of the Lord; Counselor, and Spirit of truth is just as active in true believers and true worshipers since the day of Pentecost. Servants of God are not left without the promise that Jesus made to his disciples concerning the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (John 12:15-21; Luke 24:49,50).

Regardless of what many will say and have said negatively concerning the Holy Spirit–the truth has already been spoken by Jesus Christ concerning the Holy Spirit, and it is the truth that will set you free (John 8:31,32). Satan the devil, the arch enemy of the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) vehemently attacks the word of God to discredit it in every possible way that he can, and with the intentions of eventually destroying it entirely. When the Israelites were led out of Egypt where they had been in bondaged for four hundred years, they were to settle in a new land–the land of Canaan. Moses was their leader and he was under the direction and guidance of the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob; patriarchs of the Israelites. Because of Abraham’s love and devotion to his God (Yahweh, transliterated Jehovah) Yahweh promised to bless his descendants and be their God as well as he had been Abraham’s God (Genesis 15:1-21;17:1-27).

“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 18:9-13).

The Israelites were to become a “Nation of Priests” and teach all the people of the world about their God and His statues, commandments, precepts and how to worship Yahweh (Jehovah) in an acceptable way that would be pleasing to Him (Exodus 19:3-6). They were not to practice any of the despicable ways of the nations Yahweh was going to drive out of the land (Canaan) He was preparing to give to the Israelites. They were to be a “Holy Nation” and steadfastly remain pure and free of the detestable practices of the people who He was about to dispossess in the land (Canaan) He was giving to the Israelites (Deuteronomy 7:1-16).

Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings (Ezekiel 28:12-17).

How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God: I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High’. But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit” (Isaiah 14:12-15).

Lucifer, Morning Star, once was a high ranking cherub that stood in the presence of the Most High God–JEHOVAH, he was considered to be the most beautiful of all angelic creatures until iniquity was found in him as stated above. After his rebellion and subsequently his fall from grace and his exiled and banishment from heaven to earth, Lucifer whose name was later changed to Satan (slanderer, accuser) has waged an all out war against JEHOVAH GOD, Jesus Christ, and the saints that follow and worship JEHOVAH (Revelations 12:17). It is the precious blood of Jesus Christ that washed away the sins of the world and because of that His is the only name under heaven by which men can be saved (John 14:6).Jesus Christ is unmistakeably the Saviour of the whole world. There is no other name or person under heaven that has the power and the glory to save anyone except for the name Jesus. And it is because of the love that is in Jesus  that we are not bound and enslaved under satanic darkness without any real hope and chance of deliverance. Jesus Christ broke all satanic strongholds and chains that held men in captivity—you don’t have to remain bound and gagged by darkness unless of course you choose to remain in that state yourself.

Jesus Christ is still reaching out today just as He was when He walked the earth teaching and preaching the gospel over two thousand years earlier. None of us have to continue in darkness, bound and gagged by evil spirits any longer. Jesus is calling out to each and every one of us daily—all day long! Through His deep love for us He keeps calling and calling really wanting each one of us to receive salvation and turn away from a sinful and wicked lifestyle and be baptize and receive the “Holy Spirit”.

However, their actions prove false to the claims they make. Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). Arrogance, haughtiness, pride, and insolence are just a few of the characteristics of a false prophet. Jesus went on to say, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God,” (Matthew 5:9).

As Christians we cannot rage and rant at others and expect not to bring reproach on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Christians are earthly representatives of Christ and when we give in to the desires of the flesh we bring reproach on Jehovah God our creator and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who died on the cross for the remissions of our sins (Romans 5: 8-11).

Apostle Paul stated, “In your anger do not sin”; Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:26). In order for us to be pleasing to Jehovah God and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we must become ‘peacemakers’. We cannot afford to allow our anger to run wild (Proverbs 29:11), “for a man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires according to James, the author of the book of James in the “Holy Bible” (James 1:20).
