March 17th, 2010 Jesus Is Love: The Only True Saviour For A Dying World
Imagine, if you will, a modern day sea vessel that is part rusted; corroded in spots with old peeling paint that’s hanging off of it; microscopic cracks in many places and a few large cracks in others. Imagine a ship with an unsound keel, busted rudders, an anchor hooked on a broken chain, a propeller with missing blades, a bow that has been damaged from salt waters, a deck that is unstable and incapable of sustaining weight for any period of time, and a stern that looks as if it might brake off at any given moment.
Can you imagine yourself sailing across the open seas on an unstable and a totally unreliable vessel as this? A trip on a vessel like this would be a nightmare to say the least! But my friend that’s what many of us Christians really are—an unworthy and unreliable vessel that cannot be trusted to carry any cargo—especially the most sacred cargo of all—the “Word Of God” (John 1;1).
We are living in a dying world (1Corinthians 7:31) and it is Jehovah God’s desire that all men be saved. That is why He sent His only begotten Son—Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. Jesus commanded His Apostles and disciples to go forth throughout the world making disciples from all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the “Holy Spirit”, and teaching them to obey everything that He had commanded His disciples to do (Matthew 28:18-20).
Jesus said to Ananias (speaking about Saul who was later named Apostle Paul), “Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel” (Acts 9:15). Modern day Christians are no less of a vessel as Apostle Paul and all the other disciples of Christ at that time (at the inception of Christianity). We are not spectators who read the scriptures and marvel at the perseverance and dedication of followers of Christ in biblical times; instead, we are commanded by Jesus to carry the gospel throughout the world teaching and preaching about salvation and repentance in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and He would be with us always, even until the very end of the world (Matthew 28:20).
Most modern day ships or vessels are made up of mostly steel and various other metals, plastics and wood. And these vessels are coated with heavy epoxies/paints to protect them from rust and rot. You can be sure that these vessels are continuously monitored by a crew to see if the vessel’s hull have acquired rust spots that could prove damaging to the ship’s ability to safely carry crew and cargo across the ocean and high seas. It is a well known fact that once rust sets in, it will continue to spread, thereby weakening the ship’s structure (keel) and compromising its ability to endure the rigors of sea and ocean travel; not to mention a shorten lifespan.
What rust does to a sea vessel is comparable to what sin does to a vessel (Christian) of Christ. Willful sinning separates us from Jehovah God. Willful sinning compromises our stand and testimony as a Christian. Willful sinning can leave a Christian in a reprobated state; that is, to become hardened and unrepentant (Romans 1:28). Sin devalues a Christian’s stance because he/she no longer practices what he/she preach and teach. Instead, he has removed the Christian armor (Ephesians 6:10-17) and has allowed himself/herself to become an open target by the enemy—Satan the devil (Ephesians 6:12).
It is a true statement that Jesus died for sinners (John 3:16), but willful sinning is really an act of rebelliousness. And Jehovah God view rebelliousness as the same sin as witchcraft, and witchcraft is an abomination before God (1 Samuel 15:23; Deuteronomy 18:9-13). When a Christian chooses to willfully sin, he/she brings reproach on Jehovah God’s Holy name and crucify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ all over again—much like Judas Iscariot did the first time around.
Willful sinning against God automatically puts you in alias with Satan the devil and his kingdom of darkness. When a Christian willfully sins against God and chooses not to repent from the heart and avoid those same ungodly actions and conduct, he/she becomes a “Soldier of darkness” that is under the command of Satan.
A Christian who has descended to this level of declivity is capable of grieving the “Holy Spirit” to the point of departure (Ephesians 4:30; 1Samuel 16:14). In order for a Christian to avoid such a devastating course; you must repent from your heart and discontinue ungodly conduct. We all are sinners and fall so very short of God’s glory, but to willfully and defiantly continue down a rebellious path, after tasting the “Holy Spirit”—metaphorically speaking, and then turning back into darkness is a damnable thing to do (Hebrews 6:4-6; 2Peter 2:20-22).
Fellow Christians and disciples of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we must continue to pray for one another. We must pray in sincerity and truth for each other, and we must all put on the whole armor of God, so that we can fight the good fight of faith, and remain firm and steadfast in the word of God. We are ambassadors of Christ, and it is the servants of Christ that carries the word of God throughout the world.
As servants of God and disciples of Jesus Christ, we must not become entangled with the affairs of this world (Hebrews 12:1-3); instead, we must become dedicated servants useful for every good work, as oppose to being a servant that has become slacked and careless in our ministry (Luke 12:35-48).
Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father (Jehovah/Yahweh) is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bare fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me”.
Jesus went on to say, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples (John 15:1-8).
Through Adam and Eve sin entered the world (Genesis 3:1-24), and through sin, death entered the world, but through Jesus Christ redemption and salvation is available to all men—if they so desire. Well, how will they know? By the untiring efforts of the servants of God, and the disciples of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That is why Apostle Paul could say, “For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have heard not? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news’ ” (Romans 10:12-15).
Jesus Christ has called us to carry the gospel to every nation, city, town, village, and settlement around the world. He has called us to preach and teach the gospel in and out of season. We have no time to play church or involve ourselves in meaningless endeavors that are not beneficial for bringing souls to Jesus Christ—the author of our salvation. Through prayer and guidance of the “Holy Spirit” we must rededicate ourselves to the service of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We cannot afford to continue spending our days in unproductive activities that do not follow the teachings and instructions that Jesus left for His disciples to follow.
Jesus no longer walks the streets of Galilee or Jerusalem anymore—physically speaking, but He has disciples that can and do…and not only the streets of Galilee and Jerusalem but every street throughout the world as well. Even where we are not wanted and are not welcome we have been commissioned by Jesus to go there as well and preach and teach the gospel (good news) and baptizing those who will repent and receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Hallelujah! Praise God Almighty!
Jesus death on the cross was for all of mankind, not just a select few or a special class of people. No. Jesus died for the whole world and that includes everyone. It is His blood that washes away the sins of each and every one of us: the rich, poor, sick, cripple, diseased, perverted, murderers, homosexuals, child molesters, thieves, liars, whores, whore- mongers, killers, blasphemers, and all sinners that have fallen short of the glory of God.
Through the precious blood of Jesus Christ all of our sins can be washed away. Hallelujah! Glory be to God. Through Adam and Eve death was passed on to us all, but through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ came redemption, salvation, and an opportunity to receive eternal life with the Father and the Son.
Through Jehovah God and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we have been delivered from death and eternal damnation if we so choose. All we have to do is confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and we shall be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus through His love for us has done all the work for us. All we have to do is pick up our cross and follow Him. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
As we look around us it is clear to see that the world is in a terrible situation, and instead of things really getting noticeably better they are actually getting worse. But note what Jesus said about this: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains”.
Jesus continues, “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel will be preached in the whole world as testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:4-14).
In conclusion, as fallen soldiers who have taken an unauthorized leave to partake of worldly pleasures, and indulge yourselves in ungodly behavior and conduct, I say to you come out of darkness. Now! You are a soldier for Christ but you have returned to darkness, as if you have lost your senses. You have brought dishonor and disgrace to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and you have proven yourself time and time again that you are not a loyal soldier for Christ.
But Jesus is a Saviour that is so forgiving, and so loving. He forgives all of us for falling short and treating the free gift of salvation as if it were nothing. Jesus is love. It is through His love that He pleads ( our intercessor and high priest) to the Father day and night on our behalf. We all are but filthy rags that for a piece of bread will transgress— all of us.
There isn’t one person that is really better than the other, but it is because of our loving Saviour Jesus Christ that God is so merciful to us. When God looks on us what He sees is the precious blood of the Lamb. Hallelujah! That precious blood of Jesus Christ completely covers all of those that are baptized in Christ by the Holy Spirit (1Peter 1:18-25).
Please pray with me: Holy Father, creator of heaven and earth and everything within it, we come before you tonight Holy Father, in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, asking you to forgive us of our sins and transgressions Holy Father. Father, forgive us for straying away from what we know is right and doing what we knew was wrong. Father please, do not take your Holy Spirit from me, and do not take your loving arms from around me either.
Holy Father help me to get up and continue to go forward as your servant and a true disciple of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Father help me to teach and preach the gospel to a dying world that is living in darkness. Father I submit myself wholeheartedly this time. Although I have fallen into sin Father, please wash me again in the precious blood of the Lamb. Father, thank you for your saving grace and your mercy toward us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
Now let us all go forward in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ carrying the gospel and living clean and holy lives before Jehovah God and man. Remember, we are ambassadors for Christ and we can bring honor or dishonor upon Him by the way we live our lives.
May the Great God Jehovah and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be with you and keep you until we all meet again. Amen.

Note: Please understand that over time new revelations are given to me to pass on to all that take the time to read the articles/sermons that I post. Therefore, I believe it is imperative that I share these revelations to all who will listen.
In this article/sermon as with all my articles/sermons I use the name Jehovah when referring to the one true God, and I use the name Jesus Christ when referring to the Son of God. However, I want to set the record straight now, and correct this error.
The true historic name of the Father is “Yahawah” spoken in the ancient Hebrew tongue; Jehovah is a translation of that name. Jesus Christ is a modern day misinterpretation of the messiah “Yahawashi”. It is important that we learn to call upon the true name of the Father and the Son. Thank you.
