Making It In a Tough Economy… Real Help Is Available
For many it’s a struggle just to try and get by from day to day, and the prospect of things getting better doesn’t look very promising. It has been reported by reliable sources that the economy hasn’t been this bad since the great depression. And it’s clear to see that there are large numbers of people who for the first time are unemployed and desperately looking for ways to avoid what appears to be pending disaster.
Millions of households around the country are now having difficult times staying afloat, and millions more are just one step from being in the same condition. Because of the high rate of unemployment many organizations, agencies and individuals that donate and provide services for the poor are unable to keep up with the increasing demands by those who really need assistance. Many communities and even large cities are feeling the crunch from large layoffs and downsizing from companies that once provided stable employment for generations.
In fact, the world’s economy has been in a tailspin for several years now and it appears that the worst may not be over. With the world now sharing a global economy, practically every country is connected to every other country in some way financially. And when one country economy is adversely affected it can have serious ramifications for other countries as well. All around the world millions and millions of people are feeling the impact of a sluggish economy.
But the truth is throughout the millenniums, hard times and hardships have plagued mankind: depressions, recessions, natural disasters, wars, and even rumors of wars; have brought about massive suffering and untold deaths around the world. It’s no wonder that the world is filled with so much grief and sorrow today.
Although it might appear that there is no way out; no hope; no chance, and we are at the mercies of a few selfish rich people who controls everything—we’re not. If we choose to view these problems purely from a natural perspective, then for sure, we can become overwhelmed and distraught, but there is another way to view these problems, and that is from a spiritual perspective.
We were given the word of God many, many years ago and His teachings and instructions are just as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago and that’s because God’s word is timeless and boundless as well. The problems that plague mankind today are no less relevant than they were over five thousand years earlier. And it is God’s will that all people, all around the world will come into a loving and faithful relationship with Him and His Son Jesus Christ.
The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, the great “I AM” (Yahweh, Jehovah), created man to have an abundant life, fill with everything He could possibly need, and above and beyond all His needs He was blessed with so much more to enjoy life to the fullest. But man chose to rebel against God and follow evil (Genesis 3:1-6), and that has been the root cause of His down fall to this very day. And through sin all kinds of misery and suffering has dominated the lives of mankind.
However, there is hope, “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). It is the precious blood of Jesus Christ that washes our sins and transgressions away. His precious blood that was shed on the cross for the world, atones for our sins and brings us into a loving relationship with the Father—Jehovah God Almighty. This means that we have access to the Father through His Son Jesus Christ who has become a high priest for all of God’s children. And when I mention the word children, of course I’m not speaking of young kids only, but I’m referring to the whole human race.We all are children of God if we confess our sins and repent of them and receive His Son Jesus Christ as our lord and saviour. That’s the word of God and His word is true, so be it known that redemption is just a prayer away, and God’s grace is sufficient to cover all sins.
If you are like so many of us, struggling to make ends meet; weighed down by financial debt;consumed with anxiety and depression, wondering how in the world you are going to make it from day to day, just let me reassure you that you can stand on the word of God. It may very well seem like the bottom is about to fall out, and you have no where to turn for real help, but the truth is there is real help available and it is not far away at all.
Turn to the one true God (Yahweh, Jehovah) for salvation and deliverance and he will provide for all your needs—all of them. That is why He sent His Son (Jesus Christ) into the world to bring all of mankind into a loving relationship with Him. Jesus Christ is the only way unto the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which men can be saved (Acts 4:12); that is why He is a faithful and merciful high priest that sits on the right hand of Jehovah God interceding on the behalf of mankind—today!
If you are carrying a heavy load and don’t know where to turn, just ask Jesus into your life, and He will come and give you peace (Psalms 38: 1-22). Whatever your needs are, call on the Father through His Son Jesus Christ, and He will provide for all your needs. Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and the door will be open. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be open” (Matthew 7: 7-8).
Whatever we need, according to God’s will, it will be provided to us…and that’s the truth. However, without faith nothing is possible; with faith all things are possible (Matthew 21:21). We need faith to receive what God has in store for us. We must believe (faith) when we pray that we have already received what we are praying for…and faith comes from hearing (and believing) the word of God. When we give our life to God and choose to follow His Son Jesus Christ, we open the door to wonderful, wonderful blessings that God graciously gives to us, but we must trust God with all our heart, as well as be obedient to His word and will (Matthew 6: 31-34).
We must exercise faith in all matters and trust God without reservations to experience the blessings He wants to give us.God is love ( 1John 4:8), and it really is His desire that all His children have all they need and even more. He is a loving Father that didn’t even spare His own Son when it came to us, instead, He sacrificed His only begotten Son who become a propitiation for mankind.
Jesus asked the question “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him”? (Matthew 7:9-11). Trust in God for all your needs, and He will take care of you. Whatever your problems might be, you don’t have to suffer in silence or turn to other sources that might prove to be a snare.
Jesus is the way and the path that leads to the Father (John14:6), and in Him there are blessings for all who come to Him with a sincere heart and a honest desire to fellowship and worship Him; after all, He is Jehovah God—”The Almighty”, and He still cares about even the least one of us. May God bless you and keep you. Amen
