November 10th, 2009 In All Your Getting, Get Wisdom and Get Understanding
From shore to shore; east and west; north and south; one thing is for sure, we are living in perilous times today. We are bombarded daily with the news of senseless murders, armed robberies, deadly viruses, food shortages, record high unemployment, and the increasing number of people who are becoming homeless with no where to turn.
Restless youths finding acceptance in street gangs that terrorize neighborhoods with violence and drug dealing. Children filled with anger and rage because they have been abandon by their parents; left to survive on their own. And many adults, both young and old have chosen to follow a path of drug addiction and lawlessness.
Living our lives in willful defiance of Jehovah God’s will, can only bring about terrible, terrible consequences. It is true we have been given the free will to pursue any course we choose, but God’s word has shown us from the beginning of man’s creation that a rebellious course would lead us down a road of sorrow and misery (Genesis 3:1-24). However, when we are obedient to God’s will and word we avoid so many pitfalls and heartaches.
“For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of His saints. Then shall thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea every good path. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: to deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things” (Proverbs 2:6-12).
Godly wisdom is the exact opposite of foolishness; foolishness is a direct path that leads to an early grave, but godly wisdom leads to deliverance and salvation. “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: for length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee” (Proverbs 3:1). Godly wisdom can be found only in one place, and that is the “Holy Bible”; the word of God.
Worldly wisdom has some profit, and it is good in a limited sense, but Godly wisdom is profitable in every way and it is priceless; above and beyond anything we can buy or sell. “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding: for the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand and in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her” (Proverbs 3:13-18).
Every man, woman, boy, and girl, are under attack every second of the minute and every minute of the day. From conception to death Satan launches an all out attack against each and every human being. His objective: make sure everyone die in their sins, alienated from God; without any hope of salvation and deliverance.
Man is created in the image and likeness of God–Satan hates God and therefore he hates man that has been created in the image and likeness of God. He wars against God and His crown of creation–mankind. Since the creation of man Satan has sought to lure mankind away from true worship of Jehovah God (Yahweh/YHWH) God and have man worship him (Genesis 3:1-5).
That has been his downfall from the beginning; his desire to take away true worship of Jehovah God and have all of God’s creation worship him and only him (Isaiah 14:12-15). That is why he seduced Eve in the garden of paradise into defying God’s law and following his advice (Genesis 3:1-6).
Eve’s disregard for God’s commandments showed a lack of love and respect for Jehovah God ( Hebrew pronunciation-Yahweh) even though He had blessed her with life and a beautiful paradise that she could live in forever; she also persuaded her husband Adam to partake of the forbidden fruit just as she had done. Once he did this a death sentence was activated; not only a physical death, but a spiritual death as well (Genesis 2:16,17).
Choosing to live a life that is against the will and word of God brings about spiritual death. Sin separates us from God and it prevents us from enjoying a loving relationship with Him and His Son Jesus Christ. Jehovah God (Yahweh), the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob is a loving and caring Father (1John 4:8) that longs for a personal and close relationship with all His children; so much so, until He didn’t even spare His only begotten Son whom He loves dearly (2 Peter 1:17,18), to redeem us from death and open the door for eternal salvation for all who would care to receive it (John 3:16).
Satan and his demons make every effort to block mankind from coming into a loving and caring relationship with the Father. He does not want to see anyone receive salvation; he does not want to see anyone repent of their sins and be forgiven by God. They work tirelessly to keep man from being reunited with the Father–Jehovah. Satan knows that we are living in the last days before the triumphant return of Jesus Christ (1Thessalonians 4:13-18). For they (kingdom of darkness) know that the day Jesus returns He will wage war against His enemies with the words of His mouth (Revelations 20: 1-3).
Along with wisdom be sure to get understanding and sell it not. With godly understanding you will avoid traveling down the wrong path (Proverbs 15:21). Understanding will teach you and instruct you on the issues of life; it is a light that shines ever so brightly, illuminating your path to keep you safe and sound. Godly understanding can be found in the “Holy Scriptures” to teach the simple ones knowledge and instruction (Proverbs 9:10). To underestimate the power of Godly understanding is to embrace gross foolishness and lunacy.
Receiving the spirit of wisdom and understanding is the key to living a Godly life that will bring forth living waters that others can drink and receive eternal salvation (John 4:13). It doesn’t matter what your present situation is or has been, Jesus died for us all, and His love for you is just as real and sincere as is His love for me. Your sins can be forgiven and your transgressions can be blotted out–forever! Salvation is available to you right now. Jesus is standing at the door of your heart with arms open wide to everyone that wants to receive salvation.
All you have to do is repent of your sins; humble yourself in prayer and ask the Father for forgiveness for all your sins in the name of His son Jesus Christ. Now is the time to confess all of your sins…and talk to God sincerely, believing in your heart that He is able and willing to forgive you. The bible tells us if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead we shall be saved (Romans 10:9). Just speak truthfully from deep within your soul to God and rest in His love because He really loves you (John 3:16). Pray this prayer in the name of God’s Son, Jesus Christ and be baptized. Hallelujah! Praise God!
Now you must begin your new walk in Christ Jesus by studying the “Holy Bible” and bringing your life in accord with its teachings. You are now on the right track and you have a new found freedom in Jesus Christ. Ask God to give you His “Holy Spirit”, and He will faithfully do so. Jesus said, “I am going to send you what my Father has promised (Holy Spirit); but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high (Matthew 24:48).
In closing, allow me to reiterate this point once again. “God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Here lies the foundation of our faith and what we believe as Christians. Jesus extends His love each and every day to whomsoever will come (Revelation 18:17). Don’t allow Satan to separate you from the love of Jesus, and our Father Jehovah God; don’t let him do it. Salvation is just a heart felt prayer away, and your sins will be washed away in the precious blood of the lamb—Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture (John 10:9).
My friend, there is a good life waiting for you; a life filled with love and grace that will be with you until the very end. Jesus is the answer to all of our problems, why not allow Him to become the center of your life. May God bless and keep you until we meet again. Amen.
Note: If you have fallen away after confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, please reconsider, and accept this opportunity to return to your Lord and Saviour today. Jesus awaits patiently for you to do so. His love for us all have no bounds and His desire for us to come out of darkness runs deeper than the earth itself, and higher than the highest heaven. Jesus is love. God is love, and love never fails (1 Corinthian 13:1-8). Bow down to God in the name of Jesus Christ and confess your sins and repent of them all and pick up your cross and follow Jesus again beginning today. Hallelujah! Amen.

Note: Please understand that over time new revelations are given to me to pass on to all that take the time to read the articles/sermons that I post. Therefore, I believe it is imperative that I share these revelations to all who will listen.
In this article/sermon as with all my articles/sermons I use the name Jehovah when referring to the one true God, and I use the name Jesus Christ when referring to the Son of God. However, I want to set the record straight now, and correct this error.
The true historic name of the Father is “Yahawah” spoken in the ancient Hebrew tongue; Jehovah is a translation of that name. Jesus Christ is a modern day misinterpretation of the messiah “Yahawashi”. It is important that we learn to call upon the true name of the Father and the Son. Thank you.
