How To Forgive When You’re Filled With Hatred?

When I first read the story about little Lattie Mcgee (four year old child allegedly abused and tortured to death by his mother and her boyfriend), not only was I filled with anger and rage but I also felt like getting revenge for what his mother, Alicia Abraham and her boyfriend, Johnny Campbell had done to him. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth was the way I felt initially…and to think they did this to a four year old defenseless child! I was ready to inflict pain without mercy. How could anyone do such a terrible thing to a child? And anyone that did do such a thing (torture and death to a four year old) wasn’t fit to live; so I huffed and I puffed all the while fighting back the tears.

“For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). When Jehovah God sent His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) to become the “Sacrificial Lamb” for the sins of the world, He did not make stipulations, nor did He make exceptions; instead, He sent His son to die for the sins of the whole world. Murderers, abortion of one; abortion of two; abortion of many, child molesters, sex predators, thieves, serial killers, adulterers, homosexuals, liars, drug dealers, drug abusers, tax cheats, and all other wrongful doers, can receive forgiveness through repentance.

That’s the truth. God’s love for mankind is such that He willingly gave His only begotten Son to become the “Sacrificial Lamb” whose blood cleanses us all from our sins and transgression (John 3:16). You see, God is not like men (myself in particular), He is a loving God that forgives and restores. He is a merciful God that shows mercy and grace to those who confess and repent of their sins (Romans 10:9). There have been many that have committed some of the most heinous crimes that warrants death without mercy, but Jehovah God is just and able to forgive us of all our sins if we confess them and repent (Acts 10:43).

His mercy for mankind has no bounds, and His desire for us to come into a personal and loving relationship with Him was exemplified in sacrificing His Son (Jesus Christ), who knew no sin; for a sinful world (Luke 19:10). Who is willing to do that? Not me. No way. I have a great-nephew that I”m quite fond of and I couldn’t imagine sacrificing him for anything or anybody…and he’s not even my son.

But the point I’m trying to make here is that because of Jehovah God’s loving heart for man, He did not even hold back His only begotten Son whom He loves so much more than I could ever love my great-nephew. God is Love (John 4:8) and His love was clearly shown when He sent His Son to die on the cross for the whole world. In other words, our sins can and will be forgiven when we confess and repent. It is God’s will that all mankind have a close and personal relationship with Him and His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:17).

If you are carrying a heavy burden and you don’t know where to turn, and you’re tormented and living without peace in your life; there is real help just waiting for you (Matthew 11:30). Even if the whole world holds you in contempt and the powers of darkness persecute you day and night—without let up; there is a place where you can find peace. Your sins can be forgiven and Jehovah God Almighty can give you rest, if you so desire (John 12:47).

Ms. Alicia Abraham and Mr. Johnny Campbell, although you might be despised and hated by the whole world for what you did to little Lattie McGee, there is a God that is truly merciful and forgiving, and He will give you rest from your sins and transgressions. That is why He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to die for those of us who would repent of our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior (Acts 10:43).

All you have to do is humble yourselves and ask God for forgiveness of all the sins you have committed. Confess them and speak to God sincerely from the depth of your soul and ask His Son, Jesus Christ into your life. There is no set sinners’ prayer that you must recite, but speak to God plainly and honestly from your heart and He will receive you. That’s His word, and His word is truth (John 8:12).

Anybody and everybody that’s carrying a heavy burden and looking for peace in all the wrong places can find peace in Jesus Christ and Jehovah God Almighty. It is Jehovah God’s will that all mankind come into fellowship with the Father and the Son…and there are no exceptions (2 Peter 3:9). You don’t have to carry those heavy burdens all alone, Jesus said He would help you to bear your cross. Simply put, He will help you deal with whatever you’re going through, and He doesn’t use qualifiers to exclude anyone (Revelations 3:20).

No matter what you have done; how many times you have done it, there is forgiveness at the throne of grace. Reconciliation is just a prayer away, and remember, no sin is too great for God to forgive (except blaspheme against the ‘Holy Spirit’), and no heart to heavy that He can’t comfort. It is Satan’s desire to see you tormented and living in agony everyday of your life, but it is God’s desire that you have life and have it more abundantly, that’s why He didn’t even hold back His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) for us all (Matthew 11:28).

In closing, salvation is just a heart felt confession away. Jesus is always standing by with His arms wide open to receive you with nothing but love. Pray with me: Holy Father, I come before you as humble as I know how, asking you to forgive me of all my sins and transgressions that I have sinned against you. Please forgive me for all the wrong I have done to others as well as myself. Wash me in the precious blood of your dear Son, Jesus Christ and cleanse me from all sins.Thank you Holy Father in the name of your Son Jesus Christ.

Now, believe in your heart along with your confession and you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Praise God Almighty. The bible tells us that the angels in heaven rejoice when one sinner is saved (Luke 15:7,10). Begin your new walk in Jesus today, right now, and stay on this path (John 14:6). Jesus is the light that leads all mankind out of darkness.

Note: If you have received Jesus Christ in your life but some point turned back to follow Satan, please reconsider and repent. Jesus is kind and gracious, and His love for you has no bounds. All you have to do is pray and ask for forgiveness and He will receive you. Please pray with me: Holy Father, in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I humbly bow down and ask for forgiveness for backsliding and following Satan. Have mercy upon my soul and receive me once again back into the fold. Thank you Lord for your love. Amen.

Remember, go in peace confident that Jesus Christ washed your sins away. Hallelujah! Praise God. You are a new person in Chrst-again. We all fall so very short and sin again and again, but know this, that we are covered with the blood of Jesus Christ that He shed for us on the cross. Amen and amen.
