From remote villages in Africa to sprawling mega cities like Hong Kong, and New York City, the quality of life for many is spiraling downward at an alarming pace. People all around the world can’t help but take notice at the ever widening gap of income inequality that stares them in the face each waking hour.

There are those who live a life of pure luxury while increasing numbers of people find it harder and harder just to survive from day to day. Poor people are often reduced to seeking out government assistance just to feed their families, while many more are joining the ranks of the homeless because they can no longer pay their mortgage notes or rental fees. And governments all around the world seem to take no interest in the plight of those who are poor and destitute. What is wrong? Is there a solution in sight? Who’s responsible for all this suffering? Sadly to say, throughout the bible the name of God has been replaced with the word “LORD”. There are many, many people in the world who have never heard of the one true God name nor do they recognize it in print. For sure the name Jehovah is an English rendering of the Hebrew word, Yahweh, or the ancient Hebrew rendering of the word “Yahawa”.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the patriarchs of the Israelites was and is Jehovah. He is the creator of the world and everything else as well. There is no other true God beside Jehovah/Yahweh. There are many false gods that are worshiped but they are not gods at all, only false representations of the one true god that was, and is, and will always be; from everlasting to everlasting, and from eternity to eternity, without a beginning and without an ending (Psalm 41:13). At this point Jesus knew that He was all alone (Matthew 26:31). His apostles, including Peter, were not in tuned to the agony and suffering that Jesus was about to endure; in fact, they all had fallen asleep while Jesus prayed that this cup might be removed from Him (Matthew 26:39,42).

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world to save sinners. Jesus, took on Himself the burden of becoming the “Sacrificial Lamb” that would take away the sins of the world. It would be the precious blood of the Lamb that would wash away the sins of the people. Long before Jesus Christ came into the world He existed:”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. And to add insult to injury many jobs have been phased out or relocated to other countries. The down fall of man can be attributed directly to Satan (Genesis 1:1-23). Before Adam and Eve revolt against God the world was perfect and everything within it as well. Before sin entered into the world there was no sickness, disease, starvation, or murder. These plagues are a direct manifestation of sin. Sin and sin alone is the result of rebelling against the word of God.

Before sin entered into the world there was only peace, prosperity, happiness, blessedness, love, goodwill, and a close personal relationship between God the Father and Adam and Eve; however, after choosing to rebel against God by following the advice of Satan, Adam and Eve’s submission to sin has brought about horrific consequences for the whole world even to this very day! But Jehovah’s love for mankind did not end there with the rebellious couple sinning against Him; instead, God immediately made plans for salvation and redemption for fallen mankind (Genesis 3:15).

Being self willed and egotistical can and often will bring about horrific consequences that might proved to be unbearable to live with (Leviticus 26:1-46).

We as a people; Jehovah’s God people, must always remember who we are and who we belong to. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth should receive eternal life” John 3:16.

When we sin against Jehovah God we have an eternal saviour in Jesus Christ that intercedes on our behalf when we sincerely repent of our wrong doing. It is the precious blood of the Lamb (Jesus Christ) that washes our sins away–each and every one of them!

Time and time again many of us have lashed out at God because of circumstances we often find ourselves in. As long as we are experiencing prosperity and enjoying safe refuge we are at peace with the world around us including God, but as soon as disaster comes knocking at our door we are so quick to curse God and denounce all that He is and has ever been.
